Beginning with ADR Manager 3.1, Slanecon Digital products use iLok authorizations instead of Rainbow Technologies' "Eve3" copy protection keys.
Why an iLok?
Using iLoks has several benefits to our customers:
- It significantly reduces the cost of new purchases and upgrades by eliminating sales tax and shipping charges.
- It shortens the time it takes to get up and running since the software and authorization can be delivered electronically.
- It gives you better flexibility in moving and protecting your copy of ADR Manager.
- Many users of professional audio products (such as Pro Tools) have or are familiar with iLoks.
How do I use an iLok with ADR Manager?
To install an iLok and use it with ADR Manager, follow these steps:
- You must first acquire an iLok copy protection key and establish a free account on the iLok website, if you do not already have one. To create an account and purchase an iLok, visit the iLok website at www.ilok.com.
- Once you have purchased an iLok key and established an account on the iLok website, return your current Rainbow Technologies copy protection key(s) to Slanecon Digital. Please contact us for instructions on how to return the key.
- When we receive your key(s) and iLok account information, we will deposit the ADR Manager authorization(s) to your iLok account.
- You can then download the authorization to your iLok key(s) from your iLok account, download the ADR Manager installer, and install and launch the program.
Using old datafiles with ADR Manager 4
Note that once you return your old Eve3 copy protection key, you will no longer be able to run versions of ADR Manager previous to v3.1. When you install the ADR Manager v4 software, utilities are included in the installation that will allow you to extract information from old datafiles. You can then import the information into new, empty datafiles at the current version (v4) format.
