What's new in 4.3.7 (since 4.3.6) ================================= NEW FEATURES - Added a new sort method for ADR cues: "reel, start, cue name" This is useful if you have a lot of wild cues and you want to find cues by name. - Added more diagnostics tests: 1) Check to make sure a cue's internal time values (duration, start offset from beginning of reel) match the displayed time values 2) Make sure each cue has a unique combination of reel, start time, and "cue order". BUG FIXES - You could mess up the chronological order of reel dupes by changing a dupe's date in the Modify Reel window. Now the program prevents you from doing that. - Using one of the applescripts from the Scripts folder to fill start/end/embedded times in a New or Modify window would cause internal corruption in the record, which would become apparent when changing project time formats or changing a cue's reel number. This has been fixed. When updating a database to 4.3.7, a diagnostic check will be performed and you will be alerted if any corruption exists, at which point you should run the diagnostics once the database is open to fix the corruption. - The applescript "Insert current time" would only append the current time to the Dialogue field; now it inserts the time value wherever the cursor is. - Clicking on a character column header in either in the Character List or Search window did not display the dialog letting you choose how you want the characters sorted. This has been fixed. This setting is saved as a workstation preference. - Importing cues from a file: If you import a take or list of takes for a cue whose status was "spotted", after linking the cue to the takes, its status was not changed to "recorded." This has been fixed. - When changing the project time format from timecode to feet and frames, the "preferred time format" popup in the Project Info window would be set to a blank item. This is now fixed. - In the Transport Control window, if you entered a time in the Locate field when the context was undefined (no reel was shown in the field above the enterable time field), then the cryptic error "not found in cur segment tree" would appear. Now, the locate context will be set to the "Context" popup at the top of the window, if the context isn't set already when you enter a time. - When the Transport Control window was active, hitting the Enter key closed the window, which was unexpected behavior since it should behave more like a floating window. Now hitting the Enter key does nothing. - When getting notice that a newer version of ADR Manager is available on the website, the description box that is supposed to show what has changed was blank. Now it is filled with a description of all the bugs and features added between the version you are currently using and the latest version on the website. KNOWN BUGS - Sometimes the program will stop accepting keystrokes while in a data entry field. The workaround is to click on a popup in the window or click in another window, and then click back on the problematic field. - On Mac OS X 10.5 or later, the application crashes or hangs while quitting. This happens after the data is saved to disk - no corruption occurs.
